20th Century Fox has finally released the trailer for Tim Burton’s next project, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.
Burton, together with screenwriter Jane Goldman (The Woman in Black), brings to the screen the story about a bunch of unusual children living in an orphanage who possess extaordinary abilities. It’s based on the 2011 YA bestseller of the same name by Ransom Riggs.
Eva Green, one of Burton’s former collaborators in 2012’s Dark Shadows, stars as the titular character of Miss Peregrine, a shape-shifter who currently owns the children’s home. Asa Butterfield (Hugo) plays Jacob, an innocent, ordinary boy who stumbles upon the world of Miss Peregrine while on a trip to Wales. When their world is suddenly rocked by a wealth of monsters, it is up to Jacob to protect and save the children from harm’s way.
Rounding out the rest of the cast are Ella Purnell, Allison Janey, Kim Dickens, Judi Dench, Rupert Everett, and Samuel L. Jackson.
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children opens September 30.
