Just when you think you’ve seen enough Wonder Woman action from the past trailers, Warner Bros. and DC Comics went ahead and dropped another epic preview of the Amazonian princess kicking some serious Nazi butts in the final trailer of the superhero pic.
Premiered earlier tonight at the MTV Movie and TV Awards, the brand-new footage combines all the good stuff from the previous trailers – intense action, humor, some adorable Gal Gadot/Chris Pine chemistry – and tosses in some wicked new clips to show a much clearer narrative course of the film compared to earlier previews. Not only does it look absolutely fantastic, but it also makes a downright satisfying final trailer before its scheduled June 2 release.
Take a look at the film’s final trailer below.
If this trailer doesn’t get you hyped up for the movie, then we don’t know what will. The film just continues to make an excellent impression with each new footage that it drops, and this one does not disappoint. AT ALL. Whatever uncertainties that we initially have for Wonder Woman have long been wiped out. This fulfilling new trailer has got us feeling reasonably optimistic about the film, as it looks like this could finally be DC’s first big win.
Set during World War I, the film follows an American pilot (Pine) who accidentally crashes into Diana Prince’s guarded island of Themyscira where he ultimately tells her of the massive conflict happening outside her world. Convinced she can put an end to all the hostility, she leaves her home and fights alongside men in a “war to end all wars.”
Patty Jenkins (Monster) directs the next film in the DC Extended Universe from a script written by Geoff Johns and Allan Heinberg, and a story penned by Heinberg and Zack Snyder. The film also stars Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner, and Saïd Taghmaoui.
