This is a good day to be a Marvel fan.
Following the release of a 15-second teaser, the studio, together with Sony Pictures, have finally unveiled not one, but two full-length trailers for Spider-Man: Homecoming via the late-night show Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and they look nothing short of amazing, you guys.
Tom Holland stars as a 15-year old version of Peter Parker who, after being involved in a brawl in Captain America: Civil War, must now try to balance his life as a typical high schooler in New York City with fighting bad guys as his superhero alter ego Spider-Man.
American singer Zendaya is set to play Holland’s love interest, Michelle, while Oscar nominee Michael Keaton will take part as the main villain Vulture.
Check out the domestic trailer below.
And here is the international trailer:
Homecoming is done on purpose as a second reboot of the Spider-Man film franchise right after 2014’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 with Andrew Garfield playing the famous web slinger. The film is also the sixteenth entry of the carefully established Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Horror filmmaker Jon Watts (Clown, Cop Car) directs this new iteration which also stars Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei, and a special participation of Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark.
Are you excited to see the new Web-Crawler in action? Well, you’re going to have to wait for a while as Spider-Man: Homecoming will swing to cinemas on July 7, 2017.
