During this weekend’s MTV Movie Awards, Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, and Cara Delevingne gave us an all-new trailer for DC’s upcoming Suicide Squad.
The new footage reveals how and why these band of “worst heroes” got assembled, as well as an extended look at their misadventures. The teaser also gives us a glimpse of the Batman and his Batmobile.
The movie follows Amanda Waller (Viola Davis), the warden of Belle Reve prison, forming a group of imprisoned villains to accomplish a dangerous secret mission in exchange of clemency. The only catch is that this operation could cost them their lives.
This group, more commonly called as Task Force X, features Deadshot (Will Smith), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Enchantress (Cara Delevingne), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), El Diablo (Jay Hernandez), Slipknot (Adam Beach), and Katana (Karen Fukuhara).
Suicide Squad is the next installment of DC’s own cinematic universe leading up to Justice League. It opens August 5.
