All hail the king!
After releasing two gorgeous movie posters, Warner Bros. has dropped a brand new trailer for the highly anticipated blockbuster Kong: Skull Island.
The new footage not only provides a good (and colorful) look at the monster ape in action, as well as the gigantic creatures who roam and terrorize the mysterious Skull Island, but also confirms that this version is totally far from the King Kong movies we’ve seen in the past. And that’s okay, seeing that Warner Bros. and Legendary are gearing up towards an eventual Godzilla vs King Kong film in 2020.
Overall, this new trailer really took me by surprise; I didnt expect it to be this colorful and different in tone. While the first one that debuted at Comic-Con was dark and ominous, this one has some elements of humor injected into it, making it seem not as serious as I thought it would be. Whatever the case may be, director Jordan Vogt-Roberts still has developed a stylish blockbuster that’s fascinating and visually arresting.
